Yasmin was born into a Muslim family in Tahar Souk, a small village in Morocco. When she was only five months old, her parents moved to France, to Lyon. At the age of 18, right after graduating from high school, Yasmin left her home. She began studying to be a nurse and worked as a waitress to pay for her studies.
